In a significant move to gear up for the upcoming 2025 Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), DepEd Davao City organized the Division Writeshop focused on Higher Order Thinking Skills-Professional Learning Packages (HOTS-PLPs) for Mathematics, Science, and English teachers, specifically in creating Customized Worksheets. Held from October 29-31 at The Ritz Hotel.
This three-day initiative was led by the dynamic Education Program Supervisors May Ann M. Jumuad for English, Faye Genevieve Pasamonte for Science, and Antonio A. Apat for Math.
Selected participants from each subject area attended the writeshop, following the rollout of the Higher Order Thinking Skills-Professional Learning Packages (HOTS-PLPs) conducted last May of this year.
The event was further honored by the presence of Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Josie T. Bolofer, CESO VI, who underscored the importance of ensuring that students are well-prepared for the upcoming 2025 PISA.
The initiative seeks to equip students to tackle complex challenges more effectively and they meet the international standards. Moreover, the DepEd Davao City Division’s commitment to this innovative step reflects its dedication to elevating educational standards and empowering students to succeed in an increasingly multifaceted global landscape. Through these targeted efforts, the division hopes to contribute to improved student performance on the 2025 PISA, ultimately positioning Filipino learners to thrive on an international scale.
