Reaffirming its status as a journalistic powerhouse, the Schools Division of Davao City swept the secondary individual events at the Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) held in Mati City from January 26 to 28.
The Davao City scribes showcased exceptional skill across various categories, securing a significant number of slots for the National Schools Press Conference (NSPC) this coming April in Ormoc City.
The three-day competition tested the grit of campus journalists in categories ranging from News Writing, Editorial Writing, Column Writing, Feature Writing, Science and Technology Writing, Sports Writing, Editorial Cartooning, Photojournalism, Copy reading and Headline Writing.
“Our triumph in the individual events is a testament to the hard work and passion of our campus journalists. We are not just training writers; we are molding the future voices of our community who are now ready to take on the national arena in Ormoc,” Education Program Supervisor (EPS) May Ann M. Jumuad expressed.
The transition from the regional “battleground” in Mati City to the national spotlight involves rigorous preparation.
The qualifiers are scheduled to undergo intensive “clinics” and workshops to sharpen their technical skills in preparation for the national competition.
