The DepEd Davao City Division was bursting with energy and advocacy today, August 1, 2025, as we proudly held the Joint Culmination Program for Nutrition Month and Disaster Resilience Month at the Division Office!

With the powerful themes:

โ€œKUMIKILOS para sa Kahandaan, Kaligtasan at Katataganโ€

โ€œFood at Nutrition Security, Maging Priority! Sapat na Pagkain, Karapatan Natin!โ€

โ€” this celebration united two critical advocacies into one dynamic and impactful event.

The event kicked off with an inspiring message from Schools Division Superintendent Reynante A. Solitario, CESO V, who set the tone with a strong reminder: Building a better future means nourishing both body and spirit, while always staying prepared.

The crowd favorite? Our โ€œSustaining Our Plate: Food Security Master Chef Challengeโ€!

This thrilling kitchen showdown transformed the venue into a culinary battlefield where creativity met advocacy. Participants wowed the judges with nutritious, budget-friendly meals that celebrated local ingredientsโ€”turning everyday dishes into bold statements about food security and sustainability.

The Division Office grounds were transformed into a vibrant hub, filled with interactive exhibits, colorful displays, and booths featuring disaster-preparedness essentials and nutrition tips. Everywhere you turned, there was something to learn, something to taste, and something to be inspired by!

More than just a celebration, this day was a living, breathing proof that health and resilience go hand in hand. From the kitchen to the classroom, from the plate to preparednessโ€”DepEd Davao City is moving forward with action, awareness, and heart.

Letโ€™s continue to be KUMIKILOS, KUMAKAIN NANG WASTO, at LAGING HANDA!
