DepEd Davao City humbles itself in hosting the 34th Regional Management Committee Meeting last October 27-28, 2022.

It began with school visitation by other Schools Division Offices accompanied by SDS Reynaldo M. Guillena, ASDS Marilyn V. Deduyo, Jinky B. Firman, the Chiefs of SGOD and CID along with the Education Program Supervisors, Public Schools District Supervisors, and Section Chiefs of this SDO. Each schools laid and shared their best practices on the implementation of different programs to which other divisions have extended their congratulatory messages for an exemplary execution in the school level! And to that, KUDOS to all the school personnel, teaching and non-teaching alike!

Capping the first day was the fellowship dinner especially prepared for the forthcoming retirement of our ever-loved SDS Guillena and was attended by the Regional ManCom body and key personnel at the Regional Office. It was a night filled with music and recall for the great contribution, friendship, and camaraderie that has flourished over his years of service rendered in this region. As narrated by SDS Josephine Fadul, theirs is a friendship tested by time and remain so even beyond retirement. Moreover, RD Allan G. Farnazo has repeatedly mentioned on his message for the retiree and the entire body about having the ‘Graciousness of Character’ that all must bear while carrying-on their individual responsibilities that came along with the authority bestowed upon them.

Real business. The second and last day has been highlighted by (1) Updates on the performance of the 11 SDOs on BOSY 2022-2023, (2) Updates on Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT) and emphasis on the IACAT ONSE Network Awards, (3) Updates on the Reclassification of Teacher items Updates, and (4) Reminders on the Full Face-to-Face guidelines, among others.

Successful as planned! Greatest appreciation to everyone who made all these possible!

Off we go, Davao Region as we welcome our learners in our schools in the new normal!
